Lime Green Cake Pops

Chelsie requested some Lime Green Cake Pops for her friend's birthday this last week.  She wanted to deliver them to her good friend at work as a fun surprise!  Honestly, I can't think of a better surprise on my birthday (hint, hint) and these were sure to brighten anyone's day!  

Half of these were chocolate, and the other half were yellow cake.  I hope they were able to break my secret code (brown marker on the bottom of the sticks for chocolate, yellow marker for yellow cake)!!

Halloween Cake Pops

I volunteered to bring some yummy treats to Josie's Halloween party today.  These types of parties are exactly why I took the cake decorating classes to begin with.  Josie was able to help me in the kitchen for these because they were for her, not a client, per se.  And she was SO excited to dig in make something fun. 

We were going to make pumpkin cake pops, that is, cake pops shaped like pumpkins.  Josie wanted to the batter to be green so she helped me color it appropriately. 

After the cake baked, I took it from there.  I molded them, dipped them, rolled them, decorated them and wrapped them for her special occasion, and here's what they looked like.

 Coooooool!  It's GREEN inside! 

As completely time-consuming and labor-intensive as Cake Pops are, I really think they're fun and festive.  Happy Halloween, Everyone!



Kalli's Cake Pops

Baby Kalliope turned 1 this weekend.  Her mom, a friend of mine from high school, Angie, requested some cake pops to celebrate this great occasion.  They were planning to visit the hospital and the nursing staff and wanted to bring them something to celebrate.  Cake pops are a truly ideal option, don't you think?  They're nicely packaged, and bite-sized, but delicious. 

Angie wanted chocolate and yellow cake pops and she wanted half to be green, with green sprinkles and half of them to be pink with pink sprinkles.  I added the little "k" on them for added flair and I really think they turned out cute. 

Forgive my photography here.  Note to self:  take pictures of cake pops before wrapping them.  I apologize...but lesson learned.  I've got some cake pops coming up in October which will be photographed a little better.
